It connects households and businesses seeking reliable and affordable solar power with flexible payment plans tailored to their financial needs, helping bridge the gap between high upfront costs and solar adoption. By partnering with qualified third-party installers and offering innovative financing options such as lease-to-own and subscription models, SunFi enables users to transition seamlessly from unreliable grid power and costly generators to sustainable solar systems, making clean energy more accessible, predictable, and cost-effective for everyday users.
In this project, I led in-depth market research and surveys to better understand SunFi’s position and potential in Nigeria’s rapidly evolving solar technology market. I identified key industry challenges, including limited access to affordable financing, inconsistent grid power, and the widespread reliance on expensive, polluting diesel generators. I also analyzed competitors’ offerings and applied strategic frameworks such as SWOT analysis and Porter’s Five Forces to assess market dynamics and uncover gaps where SunFi could differentiate itself and create stronger value for its users..
The impact and outcomes of this research yielded actionable recommendations capable of significantly influencing SunFi’s strategic direction and improving its user experience. The analysis revealed clear opportunities to enhance product offerings, refine messaging, and expand market reach, while maintaining a strong focus on reducing financial barriers to solar adoption.
